Teacher Training Courses

Our teacher training courses take place at our city centre school right in the heart of Cape Town. The building is located in a beautiful office building in the pedestrian walkway of St. Georges Mall. The language school is a short distance to the Metrorail and bus station. Parking is available close by an extra cost.

Having completed his BA (Hons) in Linguistics at the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), Mick started his teaching career in Turkey in 1992. He then worked in Poland for International House for many years, where he became Director of Studies and gradually moved more into teacher training and development. He completed his training as a Cambridge ESOL CELTA trainer in 1999 at IH London, and since then has worked with many different trainers in many locations around the globe, including Spain, Bangladesh, South Africa and The Netherlands. He became a Cambridge ESOL CELTA Assessor in 2003. It was in 2003 that he moved to South Africa permanently, and he has been running CELTA courses in Cape Town and training up locally-based CELTA trainers since then. Mick also became a Cambridge ESOL Delta trainer in 2003 and Good Hope Studies ran the first ever Delta course in Cape Town in April/May 2011.
