Good Hope Studies Social Club

The Good Hope Studies Social Club organises a number of activities per week. You find the schedule below and you can book your favourite activities online. 

The activities are a great way to visit all the must-see places in Cape Town and surroundings. Our social club is also a great place to get to know your fellow students socially. Most importantly, however, it is a great opportunity to practice your newly-acquired language skills.


  • Pay at reception to secure your booking.
  • It is your responsibility to cancel if you will not be able to attend a tour or activity.

  • After the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

Cape Point - Full Day Tour

Start the morning with a boat cruise to Seal Island or have a bite to eat at the market. We will then make our way to The Cape of Good Hope via Chapman’s Peak Drive for the highlight of the day. Once you’ve explored the park, we will stop at the beach with the cutest penguins you will ever see! Make sure to pack something warm as the wind tend to pick up towards lunch time

Volunteer at the Pasta Kitchen

Assist us Wednesday when we offer a hot bowl of pasta to the many needy residents (often homeless) and passers-through in Observatory. But more than providing a meal it’s about creating connections with the people on the streets and developing a long-term strategy to help elevate their lives. Please note that this activity is offered to Pre-Intermediate or higher-level students, as you will need to be able to interact and communicate effectively with local residents.

Cancellation Policy, Terms and Conditions:

It is your responsibility to cancel if you can’t attend a tour or activity. You will be liable for the tour cost if you do not show up for the tour and have not cancelled in time. Cancelation times for short tours: 6hours before departure. For day tours, weekend activities and tours longer than one day: 48hours before departure.

I agree to the condition that, while every precaution will be taken for my safety and welfare and for the care of my possessions, I will hold blameless and indemnify all persons, Good Hope Studies (the School), CapeTowning Tours and all other organizations associated with this tour or activity, should any prejudice, loss, damage, illness or injury occur to me during this tour/activity. This includes an indemnity against recovery of costs resulting from damage, loss and/or medical conditions or hospitalization. 

The company reserves the right to change the itinerary, accommodation, and transport along the way should circumstances dictate. Many of these outdoor activities are weather dependent, which could force changes in the itinerary. The guide will try his or her best to arrange events according to prevailing weather conditions.
