Good Hope Studies Social Club

The Good Hope Studies Social Club organises a number of activities per week. You find the schedule below and you can book your favourite activities online. 

The activities are a great way to visit all the must-see places in Cape Town and surroundings. Our social club is also a great place to get to know your fellow students socially. Most importantly, however, it is a great opportunity to practice your newly-acquired language skills.


  • Pay at reception to secure your booking.
  • It is your responsibility to cancel if you will not be able to attend a tour or activity. 
  • Some tours are subject to weather conditions.
  • After the tour, you will be dropped off at your accommodation.

Surf School

Put on a wetsuit, grab a board and make your way to the waves of Muizenberg. If you’re a surfer by nature then rent a board and enjoy your time in the sea otherwise learn how to surf at the best surfing beach in Cape Town. Afterwards you can warm up with a coffee or hot chocolate at one of the many coffee shops in Surfer’s Corner. NO TRANSPORT INCLUDED!

Blue Rock Cable Ski, Wakeboarding and Cliff-jumping

Today we drive to Blue Rock in Somerset West. Blue Rock uses an overhead cable system with an electronic motor which pulls skiers around the lake. Blue Rock offers a variety of activities from wakeboarding, skiing, zip lining, paintball & cliff jumping.

Cancellation Policy, Terms and Conditions:

It is your responsibility to cancel if you can’t attend a tour or activity. You will be liable for the tour cost if you do not show up for the tour and have not cancelled in time. Cancelation times for short tours: 6hours before departure. For day tours, weekend activities and tours longer than one day: 48hours before departure.

I agree to the condition that, while every precaution will be taken for my safety and welfare and for the care of my possessions, I will hold blameless and indemnify all persons, Good Hope Studies (the School), CapeTowning Tours and all other organizations associated with this tour or activity, should any prejudice, loss, damage, illness or injury occur to me during this tour/activity. This includes an indemnity against recovery of costs resulting from damage, loss and/or medical conditions or hospitalization. 

The company reserves the right to change the itinerary, accommodation, and transport along the way should circumstances dictate. Many of these outdoor activities are weather dependent, which could force changes in the itinerary. The guide will try his or her best to arrange events according to prevailing weather conditions.
