Student House

Why Student House?

Being the most affordable form of accommodation, it is usually the choice of our younger, long-term students. In addition there are also volunteers staying there.

In comparison with a host family, the Student House offers more personal freedom and you can easily socialise with your fellow students.

The Student House is ideal for 18 to 25 year olds.

Two to four students share one room. There are 4 bathrooms to share, a kitchen for self-catering, a large common area, a garden and a pool. Wifi is available at an extra cost.

In addition to the self-catering facilities, volunteers have the option of ordering homemade meals (Monday to Friday) that only require heating. Volunteers can choose to order lunch only, dinner only, or both. These healthy meals are freshly made and delivered daily. Orders are made while in Cape Town at least 2 days in advance.

The Student House is a private house in an upmarket residential area. You can reach the nearest MetroRail station within 5 minutes and the Newlands school is 15 minutes away on foot. If you attend the City Centre school, it takes you about 25 to 30 minutes to get there on public transport.

The commercial centre of the southern suburbs as well as Rondebosch, an area frequented by university students, can be reached within a 15-minute walk of the Student House. In both areas, you will find shops, restaurants, bars, banks and everything else you might need.
