Volunteer support coordinator and office administrator

Good Hope Volunteers, a leading provider of volunteer opportunities to international clients is seeking a support coordinator and office administrator. Ideally, we are looking for someone to work part-time (4 - 6 hours a day).

What you will be doing

  • Visiting our projects in the greater Cape Town area two days a week and liaising between our international volunteers and the project managers
  • Collecting feedback from volunteers and taking photographs and interviews for our social media channels
  • Assisting in the office three days a week, mostly answering to inquiries and processing bookings
  • Assisting with our social media campaigns

What we require

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 to 5 years of work experience
  • Perfect English skills, both oral and writing
  • Computer skills, Office, IOS, Skype, Google
  • Social Media experience
  • Team player

  • Experience in the area of NGO/social or conservation volunteering an advantage

Apple IT Technician

Good Hope Studies is a leading provider of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) tuition to non-English speakers from around the world.

We’re looking for an IT technician between the ages of 21 and 28, with their own reliable transport and a can-do attitude, to assist us with on-site and remote support for our staff. We operate two campuses in Cape Town (Newlands and City Centre) and the successful candidate will be required to alternate between our campuses, and assist with various IT-related tasks.

Non-negotiable requirements:

  • You must be based in Cape Town – face to face interviews only;
  • You must have your own reliable car and your own mobile phone;
  • We’re a 100% Apple Mac environment so you MUST have sound knowledge of Apple Mac setup, configuration, installation & maintenance experience;
  • You must be able to work on projects (upgrades, company-wide installations) after-hours, or in rare circumstances, on weekends.

Required skills & experience:

  • Understanding of Networks;
  • Understanding of VOIP technology;
  • Some working knowledge of networks and network infrastructure;
  • Experience with customers and handling difficult situations;

Sales Manager for Africa (English as a Foreign Language)

We’re seeking a motivated freelance Sales Manager to promote our leading English Language School throughout the African Continent. We’re looking for someone fluent in either Arabic, French and/or Portuguese, with an existing network of middle-management and/or c-suite contacts within African Corporates and NGO’s.

To be the successful candidate you should be able to:
- use your existing network of relationships to promote our services;
- independently prospect for Language Learning opportunities by building relationships and trust with key decision makers, and ultimately convince them to send their staff to learn English at our School in Cape Town.

The successful candidate should possess the following key characteristics:


  • B.Degree or Diploma [preferred] in either education or sales-related field.


  • Minimum 3 years in new business sales acquisition [essential].
  • Experience in successfully selling to African Corporates including the follow-up fulfilment and delivery.
  • Knowledge of, and experience in successfully selling to Corporates in Regional (African) markets such francophone African countries, North African (Arabic-Speaking) and/or Middle-Eastern countries [essential].


  • Ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders and communicate in a confident and effective manner with senior decision makers and key influencers (face-to-face and via tele-conferences, social media and cross-platform messaging tools) in a multi-cultural and multi-national Corporate environment [essential].
  • Ability to soundly and clearly articulate your sales proposition [essential].
  • Ability to record sales behaviour on a CRM system [essential].


  • A valid South African (or other) Passport with permission to work in South Africa [non-negotiable].
