General English 16 Morning Course

Our General English course with 16 hours per week is our shortest course and is offered at 7 different levels. It's perfect for those who have no or little knowledge of the English language as well as for anyone who aims to combine studying with exploring a new destination. Lessons take place in the morning, leaving enough time to explore the treasures of Cape Town in the afternoon. With no class on Friday, long weekend excursions are a must-do. Homework is given 3 - 4 times per week.

Afternoon combination possibilities: 5 or 10 group or private lessons, volunteering, surf course.

General English 20 Morning Course

20 lessons/week

This English course is our most popular one and perfect for anyone who either wants to start learning English or wants to improve their English skills. Lessons take place during morning hours so the afternoons are free to explore Cape Town and its surroundings, take part in our popular activities programme, or relax and hang out with friends. Homework is given 3 - 4 times per week.

Afternoon combination possibilities: 5 or 10 group or private lessons, volunteering, surf course.

Semi-Intensive Course

25 lessons/week

The Semi-Intensive course is not suitable for absolute beginners but for those who really wish to improve their English. In addition to the morning course, students can choose two of the following Focus Groups in the afternoon, depending on their English level. Survival English (A2), Listen Up (A2+/B1 and above), Write On (A2+/B1 and above), Let's talk (A2+/B1 and above), South African Culture (A2+/B1 and above). 2 afternoons remain free for activities and leisure.

Intensive Course

Our Intensive course guarantees the fastest progress and is not suitable for absolute beginners. Four of the following Focus Groups that are designed to mimic the world beyond the classroom, can be chosen in the afternoon, depending on one's English level: Survival English (A2), Listen Up (A2+/B1 and above), Write On (A2+/B1 and above), Let's talk (A2+/B1 and above), South African Culture (A2+/B1 and above).
Friday afternoons remain free. The course further includes 6 lessons of self-study under supervision.

Join the General English 20 course in the morning and further improve your English with 5 Private Lessons in the afternoon. Private Lessons are ideal if you only have limited time available, want to improve quickly or learn best in a one-to-one environment. Your teacher will design the curriculum around your specific needs. Two students can share a teacher if they book together, are at a similar level and require a similar focus. The second person pays 30% of the fees.
